Two-tier System
  • Client-Server model is based on the idea of
    separating functionality.
  • Presentation function (i.e., all the programs
    responsible for painting the screen, mouse,
    keyboard operations etc.) is placed on the
    client.
  • Application Logic function (i.e., all the
    programs which process data) are placed on a
    separate server.
  • Common Logic is available to all clients on the
    server.
