5OBJECTIVES
- San Diego and California in general are
experiencing dramatic population increases. - Need for affordable housing is becoming more of a
concern. - Estimated that San Diegos population will double
by 2020. - Global Warming is an undeniable fact in our world.
6GOALS
- Design a home that incorporates the principles of
Green Design. - Create an environment that is cost effective and
has potential to house more than one family in
the future. - Utilize materials that are overabundant in the
area. - Create a new way of living by surrounding the
built environment with nature.

shipping containers due to -
- Lack of sufficient export
- Containers themselves are less expensive to
manufacture new than to ship back old ones
