Where are we with ICT?
The gap between the best and the worst is
unacceptably wide and increasing.
In the most outstanding examples, ICT is starting
to have a pervasive impact on the way teachers
teach and children learn.
As yet the governments aim for ICT to become
embedded in the work of schools is a reality in
only a small minority.

What is it all about?
  • (Bectas) self-review framework isnt just about
ICT and, interestingly, that is a key factor of
its success. It focuses the mind on the whole
    spectrum of school development.
  • Steve Gater Headteacher, Walker Technology

Benefits of the process
  • The self-review framework has enabled all the
staff, not just the ICT specialists, to
understand where we are going strategically. It
has brought us together and consolidated the
    whole vision for the school.
  • Roger Whittall, Headteacher, Westwood School

Benefits - Quotes from school leaders
  • The self-review framework has taught us to focus
in on what we need. It is a quick and easy way to
    evaluate ourselves and the school.
  • Lisa Edwards, Kings Rise Community Primary
    School
  • Suggested actions are a great starting point
which enabled us to develop our own actions which
were more customised to our school
  • Gina O Connor, Deputy Headteacher, Westwood
    School
  • The framework allows us to make judgements on
how we are moving pupils forward in the use of
    ICT
  • Balwant Bains, Head of Student achievement,
    Westwood School
