  • We live in a work-oriented society, people with

State-Federal VR Program Conducted by
  • U.S. Dept. of Educations Office of Special
    Education and Rehabilitation Services (OSERS)
  • Under the legal authority of the Rehabilitation
    Act of 1973 and its amendments
  • Purpose Provide research, training, and
    services Maximize employability, independence,
    and integration into the workplace and community

OSERS Administers the Programs through
  • Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA)
  • Provides funds, monitors program operation, and
    interprets legislative requirements for program
    implementation
  • RSA is the principal agency for carrying out the
    act 10 regional offices supervise rehab service
    activities of state programs within each region

  • vocational evaluation

    selected to be served
