Merit/Demerit System
  • By enrolling in JROTC, cadets accept the
    obligation to obey all rules and regulations of
    the program and school.
  • Actions, or inaction, by a cadet may be cause for
    the awarding of demerits, the amount of which
    shall be determined by the nature of the offense.
  • Cadets may appeal in writing to the Command
    Sergeant Major if they feel they were unfairly
    awarded demerits .
  • Merits are earned through outstanding
    performance, superior appearance, voluntary
    service, or special effort.
  • Each demerit will cancel out one merit. merits
    increase a cadets chance of promotion.

    previous winners of Cadet of the Marking Period
