61Merit/Demerit System
- By enrolling in JROTC, cadets accept the
obligation to obey all rules and regulations of
the program and school. - Actions, or inaction, by a cadet may be cause for
the awarding of demerits, the amount of which
shall be determined by the nature of the offense. - Cadets may appeal in writing to the Command
Sergeant Major if they feel they were unfairly
awarded demerits . - Merits are earned through outstanding
performance, superior appearance, voluntary
service, or special effort. - Each demerit will cancel out one merit. merits
increase a cadets chance of promotion.
