2On 2nd April 2007, the LTTE terrorists carried
out a bomb attack targeting a bus at
Konduwattuwan, in the Ampara District killing 17
civilians and injuring 20. The bomb was set off
in the bus plying between Ampara and Badulla,
when it was stopped at an Army check point.
Among the dead were a number of women and
children.

13On 29th March, LTTE terrorists launched an
indiscriminate Mortar attack at Siththandy and
Morakotanchena Tamil villages in Batticaloa
Killing Eight civilians, including two children
and injuring 18 others . Among the dead are a
one-and-a-half-year-old infant and a
seven-year-old girl, four males and three
females. There were two girls aged seven and two
and a half years among the 18 injured. Before
the attack the LTTE cadres had distributed
leaflets among the Tamil people ordering them to
leave their homes or to face serious
consequences.

of the Tamils but most of its civilian victims
are Tamils

homeland for Tamilsbut no other had made Tamils
homeless than the LTTE itself

19 On 7th April 2007 the LTTE terrorists
triggered a claymore mine targeting a bus
carrying civilians at Piramanalankulam in
Vavuniya. Eight civilians were killed and 25
others were injured in the attack. Majority of
the victims were Tamil and Muslim civilians
20Killing civilians has been the LTTEs image
building strategy in the local context

25On 5th April 2007 the LTTE terrorists killed four
civilians whilst on a lorry transporting paddy
stocks at Nidanwala, 17 kilometers south off
Aralaganwila.
26Unknown to the world, the LTTE has been
successfully engaged in ethnic cleansing against
Sinhalese and Muslims living in North and Eastern
provinces
27 On 12th April 2007, a group of LTTE terrorists
stormed Avaranthulawa Sinhalese village in
Vavuniya and brutally killed seven civilians. The
terrorists dragged out the victims six women and
one male and shot them while their relatives
looked on.
28Six female victims, five mothers and a 13 year
old girl were brutally murdered before their
family members
29Killing elderly women and infants is known to be
a method of training young LTTE cadresusually
child soldiers
