Title: Compare New and Old Source Attribution Results

1
Compare New and Old Source Attribution Results
  • Use tags to track contributions from
  • Point sources
  • Area sources
  • Mobile (on-road and off-road combined)
  • Source regions
  • Individual WRAP states
  • CA, MX, EA (eastern US)
  • Boundary and initial conditions (under estimated
    in new results)

2
Sources Not Attributed
  • Other represents all emissions source
categories that were not tagged, e.g., fire,
    biogenic emissions.
  • Rest sum of all tagged sources that are not
    among the top 20 contributors
  • Cannot show more than 20 tags on a bar plot.

3
Evaluation Period
  • Results here are for best worst 20 of model days
    in July (for testing)
  • We plan to evaluate model results for best/worst
20 of days from full year of model results
  • Recommend also evaluate best/worst 20 of model
    days.

4
Next Steps
  • Complete current model run (9 months are done
    now).
  • Do additional sensitivity testing with zero out
    runs
  • Additional testing/development of algorithms
  • Source attributions of fire emissions for EC can
be done with model sensitivity runs, and using
    tags.
