MSP-STE Phases Where Export to Europe Is Required
As far as the financing scheme may require the
export of R.E. electricity from NA to Europe the
following phases could to be distinguished
Phase 1 2009 2012 Enough capacity of the
existing Morocco Spain electrical
interconnection Phase 2 2013 2016 Additional
grid interconnections between NA and Europe (
reinforcement of the existing one) allowing the
export of a large share of the electricity
produced by the new R.E. plants Phase 3 2017
2020 Real European electricity market with a
supergrid of much higher interconnection capacity
inside Europe Phase 4 2021 onwards accelerated
CSP deployment will not require additional public
support
