Basic Wood Framing

• Moderately Priced
• Sturdy
• Easy to work with

Most house built since the 1920s have wood-frame
construction a system of wooden wall studs,
floor joists and other wooden members that
provide structure and a framework for attaching
finished surfaces.

• Steel Framing
• What is Steel Framing?
• Essentially, Steel framing the same as Wood
  Framing, However, instead of using wood, Steel is
  used

Most steel frames we pre-designed on a computer
drafting program, and are cut out by a computer
cutter. This will allow the consumer to have any
shape or size desired, as well as having less of
an error factor because ever measurement will be
exact.

• Does not warp or shrink
• Will not rot or contribute to mold growth
• Non-Combustible (no risk of fire)
• Not affected by termites or other insects

A steel-framed home offers a greater level of
structural integrity than is available for
conventional homes because it is fully
engineered. But it does not have to look any
different than your neighbour's home. Significant
design flexibility is possible since steel frame
members come in a variety of sizes, thickness,
and lengths to create larger open spaces, higher
walls and unique architectural features with

• What is a Timber Frame?
• a skeleton-like structure in which all the loads
  and forces are taken by large load-bearing
  timbers
• Why use Timber Framing
• It allows for large open spaces and large ceiling
  spans that do not require support posts.

• What are the benefits of using Timber Framing?
• it is a strong, self-supporting timber structure
  in which heavy timbers frame open living spaces,
  cathedral ceilings and well-lit rooms.
• A timber frame allows the structural timbers to
  be displayed. They can act as a prominent design
  feature, or can be used to accent certain rooms
  and exterior elements of the home.
