- As in previous years, we tend to talk about
accomplishments for the whole grant, not just
Collin since Collin is the lead
4It Continues to be a Major Awareness Campaign
- In Fall, 2004, most people said Convergence?
Whats that? - Now, its Green IT Whats that?
- With a variety of events, work with the partners
we now have recognition and more for convergence
with - 5400 faculty and staff
- 68,000 students and parents
- 3800 business people
5Results
- Majors are up
- Graduates slowly growing
- Enrollments are steady
- Underserved enrollments up
- New opportunities through articulation agreements
- Conscious student recruitment to address
different populations - Professional development for Collin faculty has
been and continues to be extremely valuable,
especially with the current economic climate

- Online version of Convergence curriculum now

contact its about targeted effort (and a little
serendipity) - TechKnowFire numbers were small, BUT, targeted
- At least one attendee phoned her boyfriend during
the presentation and told him to get over here!

Hawkins, Fall 2006 with AAS degree Spring 2007 - Three others received AAS degrees
- Total of 11 certificates

- Still room for improvement, and this is a major
focus of the new grant - Minority populations are up over Fall 2004

- Note that this is a continual effort because
students come and go semester by semester
