the standard threshold he/she has met the
    alternative graduation requirement.

9
Augmentation Formula
  • The formula is based on a point system

10
Formula (cont.)
  • Points represent a potential percentage
augmentation on each section of the test not
    passed (not to exceed 25)
  • Points represent the amount of additional points
    awarded per credit.
  • Sum of additional points earned will be divided
by 11 ½ to obtain average.
  • Scale scores will be augmented by the resulting
    percentage.

11
Sample Calculation
  • Students scale score on Math section of AIMS is
625 (passing score is 683) Grades are as follows

12
Sample Calculation (cont.)
  • Average points per credit
  • 177 / 11.5 (credits) 15.39
  • Formula
  • Avg. Pts. Per Credit X (Students Original AIMS
    Score)
  • 100
  • Augmentation
    Points

13
Sample Calculation (cont.)
  • 15.39 X (625) 96.1875 augmentation points
  • 100
  • Add augmentation points to original score
  • 625 96 721
  • The passing score on the Math section of AIMS is
683 therefore, the student meets the alternative
