4What are Transient Voltage Surges?
- Per NEMA -- Surges, or transients, are brief
overvoltage spikes or disturbances on a power
waveform that can damage, degrade, or destroy
electronic equipment within any home, commercial
building, or manufacturing facility. Transients
can reach amplitudes of tens of thousands of
volts. Surges are measured in microseconds - Per UL The unpredictable nature of surges makes
it difficult to suppress them you never know

Hello Mr. Derbyshire, We want to inform you that
we recently installed one of the Innovative
Technologies TVSS units that we purchased from
you. The Unit is a Model PTE300-1S101D-SD,
(Serial Number 710006). The unit was installed
on one of our radio shelters at White Sands
Missile Range. The utility power line was struck
by lightning a couple of weeks later. The TVSS
unit did exactly what it was supposed to. We
believe the downstream equipment was not damaged
and is functioning properly... Very Impressive...
The TVSS unit of course is TOAST...(see attached
photo) I understand that we have a 20 year
replacement warranty. I would like to get a
replacement TVSS unit for this site to protect if
from further surges. Thank You, David H.
