Project Objectives
  • Update our understanding of the state and nature
    of the teaching of CSR education (since 2003
    survey Matten and Moon JBE 2004)
  • Compare the state of CSR education in Europe with
    that of North America
  • Investigate teaching techniques, research issues
    and concomitants of commitment to CSR education

  • Maturation of CSR as a field of study increase
    in coursework (e.g. MA) (declines in MBA Exec
    Ed) diversity of topics more research
  • Few intra-European differences
  • Main drivers Faculty- and university-level
  • Drivers of integration of CSR faculty interest,
    CSR centres, student demand
  • Few trans-Atlantic differences (nb North American
    market European academic-orientation)

  • 384 European Heads of schools (plus extra
    European cohort) invited to respond to on-line
    survey by EABiS

    (best practice rather than random sample given
    overlap with Beyond Grey Pinstripes 100, CSR
    membership organisations)
  • Statistical analysis of responses re trends
    intra-European and trans-Atlantic comparison re
    levels / integration / issues / teaching
    techniques / drivers / research

Mainstreaming
