4Why a First Aid code?
The STFC has a duty to ensure staff receive
immediate First Aid if they are injured or taken
ill at work irrespective of cause. First Aid can
save lives, for example in the event of heart
attack, and can prevent minor injuries becoming
more serious. This code addresses the
requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid)
Regulations 1981.
