Trafford Park- The Problem

• 60/70s- 75,000 people worked in Trafford Park
• Declined over the years- 40,000 at present
• Present- less than 100 buses enter the park
• Trafford Centre
• Problems
• Local workers
• Low paid workers
• Retention of staff
• Weekend workers

• Issues
• 1) Difficult to recruit staff because of the
  lack of public transport to and around Trafford
  Park. (Especially when recruiting young people -
  trainees, NVQ's etc)
• 2) Overtime Struggle to get employees to
  work overtime.

• Held Meeting- Great Transport debate
• GMPTE
• TP Businesses
• TP business Forum
• Further meeting held. Decided that a survey was
  needed
• Postcodes of staff
• Shift times

The Future

• Data to be analysed with a view to matching the
  service to the needs of employees/ companies
• Discussion with operators- non subsidies routes
• Allocate funding for subsidised routes
• Promotion of these new services
