Doctors on Call. - Part of an integrated primary care access service
offering care 24 hours a day - Sited next door to AE

- Encourage unregistered patients to register with
a GP - Relieve pressure on AE and support 4 hr target
- Support integration of OOH services
- Provide services in an accessible venue

4Whipps Cross Walk In Centre
- 3 Phases
- Phase 1 included the development of 3 consulting
rooms and refurbishment of the existing GP centre - Phase 2 included the building of 12 consulting
rooms, clinical treatment rooms and office
accommodation - Phase 3 includes extension of the reception and
waiting area and a corridor link to AE - to allow single integrated access to work

Single access (all patients on foot)
Meet and Greet- Redirection and request to take a
ticket and wait for assessment. Expected GP
patients requested to register.
Eye Ball assessment (all patients) In ticket
order. Patients streamed AE Majors AE
Minors WIC Dr WIC Nurse Other advice (local
pharmacy etc)
AE Majors- Patients sent directly to AE Majors
and registered in AE
AE Minors Assessment(2 triage rooms)
Reception for booking in to either Adastra or
Footman Walker dependant on stream by any
receptionist. Patients return to waiting area.
Other advice patients exit WIC with information
regarding next steps.
