Background to the project

• The Office of Government Commerce (OGC)
  Procurement Workstream has a team focusing on IT
  hardware
• The IT hardware team operates across all parts of
  the public sector
• Activity is organised into 3 main workstreams
• Improving catalogues and frameworks
• Advisory and conventional tendering
• eAuctions

The eAuctions project

• The team facilitates a rolling programme of
  eAuctions for IT hardware
• Facilitation ranges from hands-on project
  management to hands-off guidance and planning
• Our eAuctions are aimed at high volume,
  mainstream products
• Meet the needs of over 90 of users
• 35 public sector organisations have participated
  across 5 eAuctions
• NHS, Local Government, Central Government,
  schools
• 44m in spend has been eAuctioned
