  • The use of

  • to improve business processes and decisions for
    sustainable competitive advantage.

Learning objectives
  1. Explain the process of decision making
  2. Identify opportunities for using information
    technology to improve decision making.
  3. Identify situations where decision making can
    fall prey to biases, and explain how the biases
    could occur.
  4. Identify pitfalls, and make suggestions for
    improvement, in negotiations.
  5. Recognize situations that affect the ethics of
    decisions.
  6. Understand the use of databases and data
    warehousing techniques.
  7. Understand basic approaches of business
    intelligence.
  8. Recommend approaches to improve decision making.
