    and environmentally sensitive areas

Lessons Learned
  • We learn from collaborative problem-solving
  • Linking participation to action is a process that
    needs continuous monitoring and assessment
  • Linking biophysical data with social and economic
    information is difficult in the context of
    watershed areas
  • Better and more integrated planning does not only
    mean integrating sectoral departments in various
    levels of government, but mainly involves
    implementing these new cooperative and
    integrative models of planning using the leverage
    of community participation in the elaboration and
    implementation of urban planning
