PSB-CPS MDs in 1998

• New Optics Test
• Presently, the most important single source of
  emittance blow-up for a LHC-type beam is the
  dispersion mismatch into PS.
• A new optics (Risselada revised) has been
  tested during the year. Results positive but
  inconclusive due to HW problems (SEM, CODD).

• Algorithms (ABS)
• Micado matrix for combined dispersion and
  betatron matching tested with success (in TT2).
• Will be important to tune new optics.
• Matching btw PSB Rings
• Corrector magnet design (M.Sassowsky). The magnet
  should give an improvement of 5 in emittance
  blow-up.

• Commission and calibrate.
