Reducing Heat Loss from Your Home.

Heat Transfer
  • Heat is a form of energy
  • Heat moves from areas of high temperature to low
    temperature
  • When heat moves from place to place, it is
    referred to as heat transfer

Slowing Heat Loss
  • Heat moves through walls, floors, and ceilings.
    This is called heat transfer.
  • We use insulation in houses to keep heat from
    passing through the walls and ceilings.
  • This helps keep the house warmer in the winter
    and cooler in the summer.
