Test 3 will cover the following sections.
Chapter 8 Sections 4,5,6,7,8 (Skip 9) Chapter
9 Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, (Skip 5, 6, 7) Chapter
10 Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, (Skip 1, 8, 9,

3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, (Skip 10, 14,
15, 16) The test covers 8-4 to 11-13. Of
course, things learned in the first three
sections of Ch. 8 and in earlier chapters may be
part of some questions. The equation list for
test 3 is on the page 3. It is a fairly complete
list of all of the equations we have covered so
far. Some of the equations and constants listed
do not apply to the test material. The equation
list on page 4 is a tentative list for the exam..
Please bring the proper scantron and be on
time. Students arriving late are not guaranteed
extra time. Those arriving after students have
finished will not be permitted to take the test.
Photo IDs will be checked. During the test you
may record your answers on scratch paper, which I
provide. If you write part of your answers
somewhere other than the area provided for the
answer, you must direct the grader to that point.
You may detach the equation list from the test.
Please take any scratch paper with you unless it
has part of your answer. Make sure your name is
on any scratch paper you hand in.
2- No calculators with physics formulas or wireless
connections permitted. - Tests will not be passed out until all notes and
papers are in book bags on the floor. - Students must stop writing and hand in the test
at the announced time or it will be late. Late
tests will be penalized 2. Tests where the
scantron is not filled out will be penalized 2 - During the test you may record your answers on
scratch paper, which I will provide.
In the event of an unforeseen school closing on a
test day, the test will be given at the very next
lecture session after the university reopens. If
the weather forecast indicates a strong
possibility of heavy snow, hurricane etc. I might
decide to postpone the test until the next class
day. The course web page will have any
announcements posted as soon as possible.
