  • Project Description University Services IT
    Infrastructure Consolidation project is a
    cross-departmental initiative to boost IT staff
    productivity and lower the IT hardware and
    software costs of University Services computing
    platforms. It is a key piece of an overall IT
    strategy to increase investment in high-return
    strategic applications and projects by freeing up
    human and financial resources from the ongoing
    maintenance of existing systems.

  • By the end of Fiscal Year 2010
  • Reduce hardware and software costs for all of U
    Services by at least 250K/year beginning in 2009
  • Transfer up to five FTEs from low-impact
    production-support to high-impact project (new
    development) work
  • Total IT maintenance net savings through
