Introduction

• During this session, we will engage in an
  activity that demonstrates a hands-on, inquiry
  approach to learning the basic skill of
  observation.
• Please, find a penny with the understanding that
  at the end of this session, you will have
  developed an intimate relationship with its
  characteristics.
• So, lets begin!

Engage

• You are walking through the parking lot. You look
  down and see a penny on the ground. You pick it
  up and pinch it between your fingers. Your head
  spins with excitement as you begin to wonder
• How does it feel in my hand?
• How do I describe its color?
• How can I describe its smell?
• I never thought about it before, but does it have
  a sound?
• Ive been told not to taste money, however
  secretly, I have wanted to taste
• it for myself. Will it be be a yum or a
  yuck?
