What is the Tees Valley Joint Strategy Unit ?
  • The TV JSU was set up in 1996 to carry out
    strategic functions on behalf of Darlington,
    Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland
    and Stockton Borough Councils
  • a) Planning - Tees Valley Structure Plan
  • b) Economic development strategy/regeneration
  • c) Transport planning
  • d) Information and forecasting service
  • e) European programme funding ESF ERDF
  • It now also includes tourism ( Visit Tees Valley)
