What we expect from YOU!!

• Be PROACTIVE in matching yourself
• Patience and understanding if we dont respond
  to your emails in a split second
• Read your email
• Check with your parents BEFORE you apply to a
  traineeship, and see that it is ok with them.

  friendly people!
• Come to ALL of the cultural sessions

Your PC will

• Know your preferences and recommend TNs for you
• Push you to apply for TNs
• NOT match you
• Monitor the process and step in if there are
  problems

• Guide you with insurance, flights and visa once
  you are matched

The Database

• Alright, listen up, this is important stuff!
  On the database, you can either
• A. ASK QUESTIONS To find out more information
  about a specific traineeship, you use the ask
  questions/forum function.
• SHOW INTEREST By doing this, you are sending
  an email the the international traineeship
  manager that demonstrates your skills and work
  experience.

Hand over the gems, matey!!
Just before you apply to your first TN, you must
give us a check for 480, which we will not
cash. We will only cash that check once the
company has accepted you.

Things you should know

• We do not pay for your flight, visa or
  insurance
• The matching process can take up to 2 months
  start now
• If you have grown up in a certain country, you
  cannot go back there for a traineeship

• You must attend all 3 cultural prep sessions in
  order to go abroad
• ? Expect to either break-even or lose a little
• ? You are responsible for searching the database
  and communicating with our foreign counterparts

? We reserve the right to remove any student
from the program if they are not fulfilling the
requirements

Now for AiesecOnline Training
The URL http//us.aieseconline.net You will need
to login, the password is crazy so write it down,
but you can go in and change it afterward. You
will get your password from you Personal
Consultant after you have completed the
expectation session. You will be notified by
your Personal Consultant and will obtain your
password soon after.

Searching the Database

• There are three ways to search for traineeships
• By Destination, the country in which you want to
  go
• By Type of Traineeship, kind of work you want to
  do
• By Duration, the amount of time you wish to work
  abroad

Function of Aieseconline
Ask Quesitons At the bottom of the information
screen about a particular traineeship, there is a
function that enables you to ask for more
information. It is a forum function, allowing
you to see the questions that others have already
asked. To use this function If you want to ask
a question click on the Post New Message
button. Type your question in the box that pops
up and click on Post New. The message is then
sent to the international traineeship manager.
The answer to the question will be emailed back
to you. The question and answer will be posted
at the bottom of the traineeship information page
so that others can utilize the questions that you
have already asked.

The Show Interest Function
Show Interest The show interest function
allows you to market yourself to the
international traineeship manager and show that
you are interested in the job. When do you us
this function You should use the show
interest function when you have asked all of
your questions and you are ready to seriously
inquire about the traineeship. What do you write
in the box You need to inform the traineeship
manager that you are not only interested in the
job but also have the skill and work experience
necessary. Specifically tell them how you are a
good candidate for their traineeship.

Other Aieseconline Goodies!!!
On the right hand side of the screen after you go
to the search function there is info about the
new traineeships that have been added.
Traineeships are added regularly so you check
back in and see what is new. Also, your
Personal Consultant will be recommending
traineeships. You will be notified after you
login. World Discovery This is a function
that gives you more info about different
countries, including written accounts of people
that have already done traineeships!

One More Thing, or Two.
You can only show interest in 3 traineeships at a
time!!!! Your activity will be monitored by your
personal consultant and they will make sure that
you are abiding by AIESEC policy. Misuse of the
system could result in dismissal. Securing the
Match If the response from the international
traineeship manager is promising, like they ask
for you CV, then you will need to APPLY to the
traineeship. This is done with help from your
personal consultant. Your personal consultant
will send over your CV as well as the other
necessary paperwork. If the company wants you
then send us the Company Acceptance Note, we fax
them the SN Acceptance NoteAND WE HAVE A
MATCH!!!

So now what
You will be contacted by your PC. You will get
your password to the system soon after. When you
are getting serious about applying for a
traineeship you will need to meet with your
Personal Consultant to go over the paperwork and
give us the 480 check. Remember We will not
cash the check until you are MATCHED!
