Mission

• Specialized Carriers Rigging Association
  (SCRA) is committed to providing the unique
  information and any other lawful activities
  members need to safely, legally, and profitably
  transport, lift, and erect oversize and
  overweight items.

Membership Profile

• SCRA represents over 1,100 members
• in 43 countries

• Trucks are the major transportation means for
  shipping cargo. Albeit smaller in number SCRA
  members transport heavy over dimensional loads.
• The volume is projected to continue to grow as
  well as the size of goods transported.
• Increased loads and number of trucks, especially
  in urban areas increases traffic and safety
  concerns.
• Roads and bridges are not keeping pace in
  capacity/aging infrastructure.

Mobile CranesMobile Cranes, concrete pumpers,
freight and material handlers, demolition,
excavation and trenching equipment, along with
many other rapid erecting, labor saving
technology is progressive, but add additional
burden to our transportation system.

• AnticipATE identify potential needs and
  problems in advance
• InitiATE/CommunicATE both groups must initiate
  and pursue talks about issues critical to their
  success
• CooperATE each group must consistently maintain
  an attitude of respect, concern and willingness
  to compromise

Summary

• Increase in volume
• Aging infrastructure / inadequate funding

  communication is essential between industry and
  government officials.
