Overview

• GreenWERCS is a new module for scoring
  products based on criteria you decide.
• The score is derived from analyzing the formula
  of the product against lists of regulations.
• Products are ranked against like products
  (recommended use for example).
• Products are also ranked against other products
  from the same supplier.

• RD staff working to create/re-formulate products
  according to sustainability guidelines.
• Buyers/Procurement staff looking to evaluate
  similar products based on scoring scenarios.
• Product Stewards defining sustainability criteria
  and overseeing efforts.

  available usually a defined set of criteria
  and/or calculations.

  adapt/configure according to your strategy for

• Developed originally as part of CARP process.

Calculating the GreenWERCS Score

• Identify components in formula that appear on one
  or more lists in the category.
• Multiply the category weight times the percent of
  the component in the formula this is the
  category score.
• Aggregate all category scores for the same group
  (Health and Environmental).
• Add Health and Environmental together for the
  total score.
