Adding Announcements To Your Course

Steps 1-2

• Log in to Blackboard 6
• Click on one of the courses you teach.

• Click on the Control Panel link

• Click Announcements in the Course Tools
  section.

• Select the appropriate button.

Note

• If you havent created any announcements, you
  wont see a modify or remove button.

• Type the Subject of your announcement

• Add your announcements message.

• Select your timing options in section 2.

Note If you make no changes to this section,
your message will only display for 7 days from
the time you create it by default.

• If you want to create a link to a file already
  posted on your Blackboard course, click on the
  Browse in section 3.
• When the browse window opens, find and click on
  the file in the browse window (see next slide for
  illustration).

• At the bottom of the page, click the submit
  button.

• Verify the message and then click OK.

Final Step

• When you return to the control panels
  announcement page, you can continue to add,
  modify, or remove announcements.
• Remember periodically review and remove
  announcements that are no longer needed.
