Bid Proposal Form Criteria for Assistive
Technology / Telecare Grant Suffolk County
Council. The portion of the Grant, which is
available for The Purchase of / Grants for
assistive Technology / Equipment is 100,000 for
2006-8 and is targeted to - The Grant
is available for individual projects that are not
linked to the - Grants to Service Providers
re Technology Grants for 24/7 Human
Responses. The Grant will provide
Assistive Technology / Telecare to support
vulnerable individuals in the community.
The applicant will be able to demonstrate the
application of Assistive Technology to named
individuals and provide statistics for Suffolk
ACS Performance Assessment Framework
Indicators. The maximum grant will be
5,000 The Board recommends a 40/60
division between individual needs in housing
schemes (40) and individual needs in their own
homes (60). The application may benefit
Family Carers.

- Support to individuals and Family Carers in the
community. - Facilitate the implementation of Assistive
Technology / Telecare. - To increase the capacity of the Community Alarm
Services in Suffolk in order to provide a
sustainable Second Generation Assistive
Technology / Telecare Service. - To achieve a 24/7 Human Response across Suffolk.
- To assist 2,200 people in Suffolk, over 65,
through Second Generation Assistive Technology /
Telecare. - To support people with Long Term Conditions and
disability to live in the community. - Investigate the possibility of Joint
Commissioning / funding. - To give consideration to the future development
of Third Generation / Telemedicine Services. - To create a sustainable infrastructure of
support and cost effective services to support
individuals and Family Carers to live in the
community.
