• Idea developed from FRG Leader who requested
  assistance with administrative responsibilities
  of managing an efficient FRG
• USAREUR augmented the JD from the US based FRSA
  position to aid FRG Leaders and RDC/FRL while
  units are deployed in support of GWOT

Roles and Responsibilities of FRSA

• Assist RDC, FRL and FRG Leader with FRG
  administrative duties
• Calendar of FRG events, monthly meetings
• Coordination of guest speakers/briefings to
  Family Members
• Newsletters- assist/create, mail/email
• Web-site updates/management
• Create/Update FRG call roster
• Serve as a resource when making referrals to
  local assisting agencies- ACS, Tri-Care, Family
  Advocacy
• Other duties as outlined by RDC, but must pertain
  to Family Readiness

Success is in the Teamwork

• RDC should properly introduce the FRSA as part of
  the
• rear D and FRG team
• FRSA is to assist the FRG Leader not take over
  FRG Leaders role
• RDC/FRSA/FRG Leader create SOP outlining
  responsibilities/role of each
• Eases any possible role confusion and duplication
  of work
• Teamwork is essential to the success of the FRG
  Structure
• Family Focused, Team Based
