Step 1
  • Remove the plastic covering on the throttles.
  • Remove plastic cap in rear of throttles, yes it
is directional. It should have an up arrow on
    it.
  • Remove two Phillips head screws. The other two
screws are you tension adjustments on the
    throttles.

3
Step 2
  • Remove the plastic housing.
  • Remove four perimeter screws holding the
    throttles to the mount.

4
Step 3
  • Gently lift throttles, pull them towards the
stern of the boat. There will be six cables
    attached to the bottom.

5
Step 4
  • Remove two screws and one bolt/nut. The two
screws oppose each other at the base of the
handles (one on each side) and the bolt/nut are
at the bottom of the assembly.

6
Step 5
  • The throttles can now, if not already be split
    into their respective halves.

7
Step 6
  • Remove the two Phillips head screws at the base
    of the plastic plate.

8
Step 7
  • Remove the plate.
  • Remove the C ring to the throttle cable (Gold).
  • Lift in the middle of the metal tube until the
    assembly is removed.
  • Remove small plastic block between cables. Dont
    lose this!
  • Repeat the process for the cable (silver) that
controls the troll or first stop on your
    throttle.
  • When you remove this cable you will need to put
    the throttle in full reverse.

9
Step 8
  • Unclip the neutral sensor switch.
  • There are two so dont undo them both.

10
Step 9
  • Remove the four Phillips head screws holding on
    the plastic cover.
  • Remove the plastic cover and the snap ring on the
    cast metal slide.

11
Step 10
  • Remove metal slide.
  • Loosen the tension adjustment for the handle. (I
forgot to take the picture when I was working, so
you will see the metal slide still installed.
    This is the adjustment screw.)

12
Step 11
  • Lift the throttle arm and remove the tension
assembly by rotating the tail (part in the forked
    bracket) upwards.
  • In the picture you can see the throttle arm is
removed but the tension assembly is still
    installed.
