• Amendments 28 30 Correct programming of
  transit funds for planning
• Amendment 29 Provide consultant assistance to
  TPC consideration of Terms and Conditions for
  SH 99 Valuation

What is a Valuation Study?

• Estimates potential toll revenue generation over
  defined time period
• Estimates present value of future revenue
• Compares revenue to expected costs (construction,
  finance, maintenance, operations, etc.)

How is a Valuation Study Used?

• Estimates the ability of toll revenue to pay for
  project expenses
• Provides data needed to determine need for and
  timing of project financing
• Explores sensitivity of project revenue (and
  expense) to policies and a range of future
  scenarios
• Will be the basis for decisions by local
  governments or TxDOT on implementation strategy
