Preparation

• Understand your audience
• Be clear about your brief

• Check out the venue/equipment etc

• Clear beginning, middle end

• Introduce yourselves
• Summarise what youre going to cover
• Indication of timing
• Ground rules
• Mobile phones

• Main bulk of your presentation
• Identify your key messages
• Keep messages simple and short
• What do they NEED to know, what would it be nice
  for them to know

• Anticipate questions
• Pause to think about it

Using notes

• Dont write out your speech word for word
• Brief, short points not too much information
• Card rather than paper
• Look up

• Good eye contact
• Not just 1 person
• Smile ?

• Limit movement
• Head up, stand up straight
• Try not to hide behind things

• Clear voice
• Strong vocal projection
