Who is the training for?
  • Members of staff or carers who support an adult
    with a learning disability from any organisation
    within East Lancashire
  • Staff or carers who are supporting a young person
    with a learning disability through transition

What will we do on the 2 days?
  • The aim of the two days is to learn skills to
    help people get better lives not just better
    plans
  • Learn about the person centred thinking tools
    which help to ensure that the support is tailored
    around the individual

  • Welcome, entry board and housekeeping
  • Meeting Map purpose, agenda, roles and rules

  • What really irritates us? Looking at what it
    feels like not to be listened to and what arises
    from such circumstances
  • Important to/important for Using a scenario we
    work out what is important to that person and
    what is important for them
  • Whats working/whats not working We use this
    tool to see whats working and not working from
    different perspectives of people involved
