This model is designed to show the Stack Effect.
This effect is the movement of cool air from the
bottom of a home up into the main level forcing
the warm air to escape out the top, Creating a
vacuum.
DIAGNOSTIC TESTS
INFORMATION
The Blower Door test is just one of the numerous
tests performed by the HCNA team. In the picture
to the right, you can see the front of the door.
This fan creates a vacuum in the home where there
are sensors to test for pressure differences and
thus find the leaks.
Providing information is key to raising
awareness. HCNA does this by offering brochures
and pamphlets that describe the details of energy
efficiency and air flow to homeowners.
