What does a programmer do?

• Plans and codes new programs (software
  engineering)
• Tests (QA) existing or new programs
• Revises (updates) existing code with new
  functionality and features

What does a system administrator do?

• Creates and maintains computer networks (data
  communication and troubleshooting)
• Supports and trains staff to effectively use
  computers
• Repairs and updates machines within a company
• Administrates data security

Why do I need both a C.S. and an INF major?

• Maybe you dont
• Different stresses
• CS is more math based
• CS has 10 courses in the major, the INF major has
  7 (34 in CS versus 21 credits in INF)
• INF has more of a business component (the
  business core requirements)
