- Worked for family construction business
- Moved into surveying and took HND/BSc Hons at
Bristol - Worked as planned maintenance manager for
national housing association in London - CIOB Accreditation/HE Liaison Manager
- MA e-business Middlesex University
- Business Link SME project manager. Managing
regional and national initiatives.

- Funded by HEIF 2 (Higher Education Innovation
Fund for 2 years (to October 2006) HEIF 3
possible. - LSBU, UWE in Bristol, Leeds Met, Salford, UCLAN
in Preston and Wolverhampton all have regional
CKEs. - LSBU staff are Barry Symonds (Project Director)
and John Hampson (Co-ordinator). Research Fellow
soon. - Partners are CITB Construction-Skills, CE, CEBE,
and CIC

- The government aim is to improve innovation
within HE, and as part of its general strategy
with industry - Bring together academics, companies, PIs,
Government, SSCs, FE colleges, and universities
within each region - Promote knowledge exchange and joint professional
sector working in the spirit of Latham and Egan. - Seek to cross boundaries and build relationships
within diverse audiences.
