4Opportunity Enhance Student Tracking
- KSDE will pilot a student locator framework using
SIF (School Interoperability Framework)
technology to automatically track students as
they move from school to school. - This automates the flow of student claims and
EXITs between your district and KSDE. - Interested districts please email me at
kgosa_at_ksde.org .
5Opportunity User Authentication District
Level Management
- KSDE has implemented the User Access Management
System to allow a district to manage approval and
denial of user access privileges for KSDE web
applications for its staff. - This can be done by the superintendent or his/her
delegate. - If you are interested please contact me at
kgosa_at_ksde.org or 785-296-7931.
6Challenge Reporting Accurate Data
- Student John Doe is a Kindergartener who is
enrolled in a half-day program that meets 180
days out of the year. For 2007-2008, John Doe is
absent for only 1 of his 1/2 day classes. What
values would you provide to KIDS as Cumulative
Days in Membership and Cumulative Days in
Attendance? - Membership (180) Attendance (179)
- Membership (90) Attendance (89)
- Membership (90) Attendance (90)
- Membership (180) Attendance (90)
-
- Select all of the student data elements below
that would be considered confidential under
FERPA (there may be multiple correct answers) - Last Name

7Opportunity Data Quality Certification (DQC)
- The data pays you and grades you.
- DQC provides training curriculum for specific
roles along with recognition for essential data
functions. - This year (pilot) School Data Entry School
Data Coordinator - Additional next year School Program Staff
Administrators - 49 individuals representing 33 USDs private
schools/diocese are participating in the pilot. - Pilot concludes in December. DQC registration
