Zero waste policy

• The State of California (State) promotes a
  zero waste. This means reducing waste whenever
  possible, promoting the management of all
  materials to their best and highest use.

MSA - PURPOSE

• One leveraged procurement vehicle for State
  and participating Local Agencies
• No need for individual bid efforts
• DVBE participation of 3 - 10 or GFE has
  already been met
• Two SB certified companies
• No Admin Fee

DEFINITIONS

• Per the MSA, services will be provided for
  Electronic waste (E-waste) and Universal waste
  (U-waste).
• E-Waste electronic equipment that has reached
  the end of its useful life - includes computer
  hardware, monitors, printers, copiers, fax
  machines, phones, radios, PDAs, DVDs, and CDs.
• U-Waste all-inclusive term for e-waste, CRTs,
  fluorescent tubes, ballasts and batteries.
