Background Information

• Space probe has just returned from a planet in
  another solar system.
• A small sample from the planets green ocean was
  brought back for investigation.
• The substance name is oobleck, and studies have
  shown it is safe to handle.

Investigation

• Identify the properties of oobleck using all the
  senses except taste.
• Record the properties for oobleck on the large
  sheets of paper provided.
• Star the properties that help the group determine
  if oobleck is a solid or a liquid.

• A property of a substance is something that can
  be seen, heard, smelled, felt by the senses, or
  detected by instrumentssuch as microscopes,
  telescopes, and thermometersthat are extensions
  of our senses.

  Students who wish to agree or disagree are
  invited to raise their hands and explain why
