7When you grow up, you can be anything you want
to be, my father said.
8I wanted to be a priest I became a writer.
9I became a wife
It was during streaking in 1974 at Glassboro
State College that I met Jim, a radio guy. We
both found good stories mine for print and his
for broadcast and found life partners.
The bishop in our diocese told us we must be
married indoors, rather than outdoors. But isnt
God everywhere? We were married by a Unitarian
minister a Catholic priest blessed our marriage
seven years later.

I had already turned my stained glass hobby into

other shape or form?

Carol, What a wonderful adventure! It's so
wonderful so see God's hand in something we're
doing. Â Yes, you may use the Touching the Holy,
however it will help you. No, the Sentinel has
not done a feature -- and I would decline. I
just don't do media at all. Â How I got started
-- 9 years ago I did my first Lenten Series. I
had vacationed in Florida and was visiting one of
my best friends prior to Lent (which is standard
operation for me -- sun and beach before the
Lenten journey in the desert). He is very
technologically savvy. He was the one that
suggested I should do a daily message. He
explained to me email (which I did not have at
that time) and how it would work. So I came
back, investigated, and started on a very small
scale. Probably less than 100 addresses. Today,
I understand from the parishioner who handles the
address list for me, there's nearly 2000. Yea,
God. God has intervened when I wanted to give
this up a couple of years ago, because managing
the address list was way too, too difficult. I
mentioned one day in front of this man that I
probably wasn't going to do this because I spent
way too much time on the addresses. He said,
I'll take care of it. That's the story, God'sÂ
blessings. Fr. Bob

31Like trees, human beings also need deeply
anchored roots. Only those who are rooted in
fertile soil have stability. But those who think
they can live without foundations live an
uncertain existence, like roots without soil.

Pilgrims from Carinthia, Austria, Dec. 16, 2000
32Happiness is essentially a state of going
somewhere, wholeheartedly, one-directionally,
without regret or reservation.
