Academy Instructors

    law enforcement officers and agents
  • - Former U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy and other
    military personnel with maritime security and
    intelligence experience.
  • Instructors have been directly involved in
    maritime law enforcement to include drug
    interdiction and alien migration interdiction
    operations (AMIO) both in the US and abroad

Student Assessment
  • All programs offer certificate of graduation upon
    successful completion
  • For certain States, courses may carry P.O.S.T.
    certification
  • All written examinations require a minimum score
    of 70 to pass
  • All practical and lab evaluations require a
    satisfactory rating for graduation
  • All test scores are maintained by the NMLEA and a
    copy of the transcript is forwarded to the
    agency's training officer for their records
