between students with and without disabilities. - Approximately 20 of all students received Ds or
Es in 9th grade core classes exept Math was 30.
Hamtramck
- Graduation rate 59.92 in 2007.
- Proficiency rate - HS 2008 ELA test 26, Math

4Our Resource Gaps
- Students and parents lack access to learning
resources at home. - Most of our instruction relies heavily on
inflexible text material. - Many at-risk students are not engaged by
traditional instruction that relies heavily on
lecture. - Teacher lack access to staff development
resources.
5Our Objectives
- In P-CCS, develop an inquiry based digital
curriculum called ePark. In HPS, implement
Blackboard with RESAs help. The digital
curriculum will be available 24/7/365 to students
and parents. - Provide staff development on UDL and Moodle.
- Develop UDL instructional units, invite project
based learning proposals from teacher teams and
acquire supportive technologies. - Create an electronic system of sharing staff
development resources.
6Our Partnership
Despite different needs, Plymouth-Canton
Community Schools and Hamtramck Public Schools
are equally concerned about under achieving
populations.
Mutual Benefit
- P-CCS staff is looking forward to learning from
Hamtramck staff about teaching to diverse
populations. - Hamtramck staff anticipates learning about
P-CCSs experiences with UDL and Project Based
Learning.
