Sullys Building

• In 1885 Walter Sully built a two storey stone
  building with an arch shaped galvanised iron
  roof. After some time another building was joined
  onto the first with an office in one end and
  grocery store in the other.

Kidman Building

• This building was erected about 1888 for the
  Gilbert Brothers, butchers, and has been occupied
  by butchers ever since.

West Darling

• The original Hotel was built in 1886 and was
  called the Broken Hill Club. The Hotel was
  renamed the West Darling Motor Hotel on 13 June,
  1969.

Town Hall

• The Town Hall was opened by the Governor of NSW
  on the 6th of August 1891. It was designed by
  Adelaide architects using stone from the Block 14
  Mine.

Grand Hotel

• The Grand Hotel was erected for James Aldridge in
  1888, replacing an earlier timber structure
  destroyed by fire. The hotel was delicenced in
  1959 and became a private hotel.

Sacred Heart Catholic Cathedral

• On 6 December, 1903, the Bishop of the Diocese
  of
  Wilcannia, Dr John Dunne, laid the foundation
  stone of the Cathedral. It was officially opened
  on 2 July, 1905.

Court House

• Built in 1889, the interior is original and
  mostly intact. It is of stuccoed brick, has a two
  storey front with single storey side wing. Wide
  verandahs on paired timber columns and hipped
  roof reinforce the simple traditional design.

The Imperial (Former)

• The Imperial Hotel dates from around 1890 and
  the building is part of the early period of
  Broken Hill's history. A 1987 heritage study
  stated that the pub was one the most intact of
  Broken Hill's two storey hotels. It is now a four
  and a half star guest house with five luxury
  guest bedrooms.
