  Orchard, Bernardo Yorba, and Esperanza High
  School.

• This is my ninth year of teaching.
• I have taught K,1st,2nd, and 5th, and 8th grades,
  but 3rd is my favorite.

Homework

• Assigned Weekly and Due on Friday
• Nightly Reading is the Priority
• Homework receives an effort grade.
• Thursday Folders should be returned empty on
  Friday.Check folder for incomplete assignments
  which are due Monday.
• Citizenship Grade should be signed and returned
  on Friday in the Thursday Folder.

Tardiness

• School Policy 3 times earns a loss of recess
  with the Mrs. Emry-Burtt

Field Trips

• One bus trip per year
• Possible Walking Field Trips

Grading

• Grades are earned from Tests, Quizzes,Classwork,
  and Projects.
• Points from the above will be totaled and a
  traditional grade will be assigned.
• Chapter and Unit Tests with a score of less than
  70 may be retaken following additional
  instruction. Spelling Tests may not be retaken.
• Extra Credit is available. Extra Credit can
  raise a quarterly grade by one half of a letter
  grade only.
