  • Our community is not recognising stroke as an
    emergency.
  • Tend to admit higher risk TIA to facilitate
    quicker secondary prevention investigations and
    education.
  • As we do not have a neurologist driving our
    stroke care much of the follow up of secondary
    prevention investigations is left to the general
    practitioner.
  • We are developing stroke support groups in
    Bathurst and Orange. I can be contacted for
    details.
