Interesting Things About American Easter and
Mexican Easter

• You will be reading about the differences
  between Mexican Easter or Semana Santa as they
  call it, which means Holy week and American
  Easter. Americans use cellophane grass, bunnies,
  fake eggs, real eggs, and colorful eggs, to
  decorate. At a Mexican Easter those are things
  you will never find except for eggs. Americans
  use eggs to hide and find with friends and
  family. Mexicans use eggs to fill with confetti
  and break them over the heads of friends and
  family.

Differences Between American Easter and Mexican
Easter

• On Easter in Mexico they fill eggs with confetti
  and break them over the heads of friends and
  family.
• Mexico does not use bunnys, cellophane grass,
  and jellybeans.
• Those are some things that you wont ever see at
  an Mexican Easter.
• On Easter in America we hide fake or real eggs
  and then try to find them with friends and
  family.
• America uses bunnys, cellophane grass, and
  jellybeans.

Easter in Mexico

• Semana Santa means Holy week.
• Semana Santa is not just one week it is two full
  weeks.
• In this holiday there is different things they do
  each day.
• These are the names of the days, Blessing of the
  palms, Vespers of darkness, Maundy
  Thursday--Observances begin, Good Friday--The
  passion of Jesus, Holy Saturday--The solemn
  vigil, Easter Sunday--domingo de gloria.
• Semana Santa starts March 16 - March 23.

Easter in America

• In America on Easter we hide eggs and try to find
  them with friends and family.
• We hide real and fake eggs.
• If we hide real eggs we usually use food coloring
  to make them nice and colorful.
• If we use fake ones we usually put candy inside
  of them.
• When we find all of the eggs we eat the candy or
  some people eat the real eggs.
• Our parents tell us that the Easter bunny comes
  and hides the eggs, but when we get older when
  begin to find out that our parents just tell us
  that but we dont ruin the surprise for little
  kids.

About the Differences Between Mexican Easter and
American Easter

• Semana Santa means Holy week. The Holy week
  isnt only one week! They celebrate different
  things each day.
• American Easter we hide eggs and find them
  with friends and family. If the egg is fake we
  usually put candy inside of them. If the egg is
  real they are colored with food coloring. They
  use eggs but not the same way Americans use them.
• Americans parents tell them when they are
  younger that the Easter bunny comes and hides the
  eggs, but when you get older you begin to find
  out your parents hide the eggs and just tell you
  that. When you get older and you have children of
  your own or have younger brothers and sisters you
  just go ahead and tell them that the Easter bunny
  hides them to not ruin the surprise for when they
  get older.

American Easter and Mexican Easter

• The Mexican Easter sounds interesting,
  but I think Ill stick to the American way.
  Although the American Easter is only one day, but
  if you get a lot of candy it seems a lot longer
  than what it is. One good thing about the
  Mexican Easter is that it is longer then just one
  day, its two full weeks. So, if you go to Mexico
  when Mexicans are having Easter youll know what
  your getting yourself into.
  
• If your from Mexico and your coming to
  America when Americans are having Easter youll
  also know what your getting yourself into in
  America.
• If your from Mexico and coming to America
  on Easter Bring cellophane grass, fake or real
  eggs, and little bunny decoratives.
• If your from America and going to Mexico
  on Easter bring eggs filled with confetti and
  your sombrero.
