A Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets,American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO 2001) Publications, Washington, DC 2001. To introduce students to highway administration and evaluation, geometric design, roadside and drainage design, earthwork, roadway facilities, highway operation, and construction. Final grades will be computed as follows Homework/ Quizzes / Projects (Bonuses) 45 Mid Term Exam 25 Final Exam 30 Total 100 A 90 100, B 80 89, C 70 79, D 60 69 Students with disabilities as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) should contact regarding the accommodation necessary to complete the requirements of this course. Grades will be reduced on homework or other assignments if not turned in on time. Refer to attached information regarding attendance. At least two projects will be assigned at the discretion of the instructor.
