• The ASU-Maricopa Alliance was initiated in 2004
  to
• Provide coordinated student services
• Guarantee course transferability
• Increase degree completion at both institutions
• The Alliance was expanded to include the
  Maricopa-ASU Pathways Program (MAPP) in December
  2008.

• Alliance is the umbrella relationship between ASU
  and the Maricopa Community Colleges.
• MAPP is one component of the Alliance.

Emphasizing Academic Preparation

• Academic preparation is the single most important
  determinant of student success.
• Academically prepared transfer students perform
  as well as native university students.

How will it work?

Student meets with Maricopa advisor after October
1st to sign up for MAPP
Student has up to 3 years to complete the MAPP
Student transfers to ASU to complete bachelors
degree

Prospective transfer students may meet with an
advisor to talk about the transfer process.
Appointments are held throughout the valley.
